Let America Be America Again: Our Voice
During the month of February the Hive Society has "teamed up" with Langston Hughes to craft our own stanzas of Let America Be America Again. We consider this poem timeless, and there are still issues today that need to be discussed through poetry. Each scholar has posted his or her stanza in our forum, and we would love to hear what you have to say. The Collective will also be contributing their voices as we continue to explore equality and freedom in today's world through poetry.

Many of you keep up with what we do in the Hive, but we've kept a little secret from all of our fans and followers...a secret that we just can't keep in anymore: THE COLLECTIVE! The Collective is an amplified collaboration with Ms. Holmes of the University of Texas and Dr. Price-Dennis of Columbia University AND their scholars (undergrad/graduate). The Hive is absolutely ecstatic about this partnership, and we can't wait to extend our think tank further into the world. Today, scholars in the Hive will be delving into a collection of texts, documents, and photographs as they utilize their newfound knowledge from Let America Be America Again and Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry to make meaningful connections.
